Role
We are looking for an energetic Project Architect to run medium-to-large scale projects independently with three to five years’ experience in this role. Your role will be to organise the work of a project team, oversee team members, and engage with project running duties. Responsibilities will include coordinating design team actions; running design team meetings; liaising with clients, statutory authorities and developing architectural solutions from concept to technical design and construction stages.
You will have excellent English communication skills, be well-organised and have a proven track record of working both independently and as part of a team through all project work stages. You will have a sound knowledge of UK planning and building regulations. Experience in large-scale residential/mixed-use projects is beneficial.
Duties
• Run projects from concept design through to completion
• Assist project teams in developing architectural concepts and technical solutions
• Manage workload of a project team
• With input from Associates, manage and monitor outputs, maintain quality, deliver on time
• Oversee project coordination and lead team members in day-to-day activities
• Report to management team
Skills and Experience
• Five years’ experience in a similar Project Architect role
• Fluency in MS Office suite and Revit is essential and will be assessed in interview
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
• Energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated, with an eye for detail and an ability to see the big picture
• Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships and dialogue with the Directors, management team, Architects and the other departments in the practice
Salary: Salary band 6 (£37k - £47k) dependent on experience and compliance with dRMM salary banding.
Working pattern: this position is envisioned as a full-time role.
