Summary AJANTA CONSULTING, LLC Grenada, Mississippi The Park Attendant greets visitors at facility entrance, hands out informational pamphlets, maps, explains regulations, and other information concerning camping and visiting the facility. The Park Attendant assigns campground or recreational sites, collects fees, fills out camping and visitor permits, and maintains register of campers and visitors, maintains campgrounds and other areas, cautions visitors against infractions of rules, and reports all disturbances and problems to superior officer or as a last resort to local law enforcement officers. Responsibilities Will pleasantly greet and communicate effectively with visitors having different ethnic backgrounds, language barriers, personality types, income, and educational levels under pleasant, hectic, and stressful conditions. Greet visitors at facility entrance, and hand out informational pamphlets, maps, explains regulations, and other information concerning camping and visiting the facility. Assign campground or recreational sites. Collect fees, fill out camping and visitor permits, and maintain register of campers and visitors. Caution visitors against infractions of rules, and reports all disturbances and problems to Lake Manager, Corps Rangers, and local law enforcement officers. Assist as needed in the presentation of interpretive programs. When needed capable of assisting persons with serious injuries to obtain appropriate medical care. Participate in carrying out firefighting or conservation activities at the lake. Assist other workers in activities concerned with cleaning, litter pickup, maintenance and restoration of buildings and other facilities. Participate in the excavation and presentation of artifacts found on at the lake. Effectively use a wide variety of office machines including electric calculators, typewriters, computers, printers, fax, document scanner, copies, etc. Effectively run computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook, and Word. Operate automated displays and other visitor center equipment. Successfully perform routine bookkeeping and other accounting operations as related to fee collecting transactions. Will conduct tours. Provide effective written and telephone communication to a variety of contacts. Perform clerical and other office duties. Provide fee collecting services in accordance with Corps of Engineers policy. Provide informational pamphlets and maps to the public and explain regulations, safety messages, facilities, and other information related to visitation. Ensure work orders when complete are properly filled out and returned to work management Support the project Safety Plan through personal involvement in all aspects of safety, including training and attention to the adherence to safety requirements pertaining to particular trades or skills. This position may be part of an emergency management/response team as required by the company to meet contract requirements Operate all equipment in accordance with EM 385-1-1. Other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of two (2) years work related experience. Valid state driver license or commercially licensed (CDL). Properly trained in first aid and CPR services. Possess a favorable motor vehicle report. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to pass a background check. Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
