• Having familiarity/proficiency with leading SCADA, EMS, DMS,OMS and GIS vendor products including ABB, GE Solutions, ORACLE, OSI Inc., Siemens, Schneider Electric, CGI, Intergraph and ESRI;
• Possessing expertise with SCADA, EMS, DMS, OMS, DERMS and GIS applications;
• Possessing knowledge with Transmission and Distribution Engineering, Operations, Planning and Reliability.

Demonstrates intimate abilities and a proven record of success with the implementation of Grid Operations systems and applications including: Conducting assessments of current state, gathering requirements, defining a future state and developing a strategic roadmap for implementation, supporting the solution selection process, supporting the development of a vendor Statement of Work and vendor negotiations, and supporting the implementation of the selected solution through the entire SDLC including design and build activities; system integration and testing; system cutover planning; support of parallel operations and/or trial cutover; training and documentation, user acceptance testing and system commissioning, business process development and documentation, change management activities.

Candidates should also have an understanding of: Transmission and Distribution Network System Modeling, System Integration, System Implementation Lifecycle, Business Requirements Gathering, Project Management, and Business Process Design and Implementation.

Demonstrates intimate knowledge and experience with the following:

• Understanding the common issues facing clients in the Power and Utilities Sector;
• Possessing the ability to work in a project team while staying focused and multi-task in a fast- paced environment;
• Possessing the ability to supervise project teams to create an atmosphere of trust and seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation;
• Possessing the ability to answer questions and provide direction to less-experienced staff and coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback; and,
• Possessing proven verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with client personnel, senior management and the project team.
