Job Title: Operations Manager - Oil & Gas Division
Location: GCC (Preferably Qatar) Position: Full-time
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering from a
recognized university.
Experience Requirements:
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects, with at least 15 years of
experience in the GCC region.
• Extensive experience in multidisciplinary EPIC projects within the Oil & Gas
sector, including pipelines, midstream transmission, custody transfer, pump stations,
compression stations, tank installations, and storage facilities.
• Proven track record in successfully executing plant shutdowns independently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Execution: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of various
projects in the Oil & Gas sector, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality
standards.
• Business Development: Drive growth and expand business opportunities, fostering
relationships with clients, consultants, and partners.
• Division Management: Manage overall operations of the division, ensuring
alignment with company objectives, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Personnel Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team across
multiple projects, ensuring optimal performance and professional development.
• Client & Consultant Coordination: Maintain strong working relationships with
clients and consultants to ensure smooth project execution and resolve any issues.
• Statutory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local, regional, and
international laws, regulations, and safety standards.
Required Personal Skills:
• Extensive experience in project execution within the Oil & Gas sector, with handson experience in handling complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to oversee large teams and
operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively
with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage statutory compliance and regulatory requirements across projects.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address challenges in a fastpaced, high-stakes environment.
Job-Specific Skills:
• Expertise in the design, engineering, and construction of offshore oil & gas
projects, refineries, petrochemical facilities, gas pipelines, and gas processing
plants.
• Proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality
outcomes across disciplines.
• Resource optimization: Maximize the efficiency of resources across the division
with effective control measures and operational oversight.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure timely project completion, meeting established
targets for cost, quality, and schedule.
• Strong understanding of international codes and standards including ASME, PD
500, TEMA, API, BS, NACE, ANSI, and AWWA D-100.
• Experience working in the Middle East, particularly in Qatar, is highly preferred.
Desirable Skills:
• In-depth experience in estimating for large-scale construction and EPC projects.
• Qatar driving license is a plus.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Project Profitability: Play a key role in ensuring the financial success and
profitability of projects.
• Client Liaison: Manage time and cost claims with clients and ensure successful
approval and resolution of claims.
