Activities
1. To adopt and to demonstrate an exemplary behaviour regarding Company Ethics and "Code of Conduct" policy and HSSE rules and regulations.
2. To have knowledge of Company and Project technical referential and international standards related to his area of responsibility, taking knowledge from them for application to the Project.
To develop, as required, discipline specific instructions onboard vessel.
3. To ensure proper answer (in coordination with Offshore CPY Site Representative onboard Rigid Pipelay Vessel) to CONTRACTOR technical Queries related to his discipline.
4. To ensure all along installation phase that the SURF Contractor is enforcing his contractual commitments, is implementing properly his vessel execution plan, and is performing safely his activities as per Project specifications, design and codes.
As such, he shall:
- Participate to daily/regular meetings with Contractor/Subcontractors about NDT/QC discipline matters.
- Monitor and control the implementation onboard vessel of the approved welding and NDT procedures, Surveillance plans, Inspection and test plans.
- Ensure that the works are closely inspected by the contractor& 39;s QC inspection team.
- Review and ensure that all material certificates and certification files are up to date, including documentation from vendors and contractors.
- Challenge Contractor and Subcontractors on QA/QC performance and Inspection activities, and to perform
routine and random inspections on a daily basis in this regard.
- Monitor the work deficiencies (repair rate in particular) and ensure the implementation of the necessary
corrective actions.
- Follow up on the implementation of decided action plans, or other mitigation plan issued.
- Report immediately to Offshore CPY Site Representative onboard Rigid PipeLay Vessel any anomaly or non[1]conformity.
- Interface with SURF Contractor& 39;s QA/QC authority onboard vessel on QA/QC issues and on the implementation of the Company QA/QC requirements.
- Participate to HSE or QAQC specific audits or visits.
- Provide regular inspection & activity reports.
5. To ensure the tracking of anomalies and non-conformities performed by the SURF Contractor and ensure follow-up of correcting activities.
6. In general:
- To assist the Offshore CPY Site Representative onboard Rigid Pipelay Vessel as and when required.
- Witness of welding operations, welding operator qualification and equipment, including acceptance criteria.
- Review of NDE techniques and NDE Operatives and acceptance criteria; Assessment and evaluation of welding
environment and facilities onboard, including arrangements for personnel protection and HSE.
- Examination and assessment of materials and consumables.
- To participate to the resolution of any discipline-related problem occurring during the Installation Phase, to review and give recommendation on technical deviation requests and to keep updated the documentation related to the disciplines.
- To provide technical support and assistance to Company personnel on discipline issues, and also to Contractor& 39; and Subcontractors& 39; personnel if needed.
- To implement discipline methods for the supervision of the day-to-day activities.
- To enforce decisions/directions taken at SURF Management level and as directed by Offshore CPY Site representative onboard Rigid Pipelay Vessel.
7. To report to the Offshore CPY Site representative onboard Rigid Pipelay Vessel to discipline activities, in particular
when deviations to works are detected.
8. To ensure confidentiality of all the documentation issued under his area of responsibility.
Accountabilities
The Service holder is responsible, under the Offshore CPY Site Representative onboard Rigid Pipelay Vessel, for following[1]up, monitoring and supervising Welding / NDT (including AUT) activities carried out by the SURF Contractor and/or Subcontractors onboard vessel, ensuring that his discipline& 39;s contractual and technical requirements are duly applied by the
Contractor and/or Subcontractors.
In this respect, and to ascertain that the equipment/facilities are built as per the project requirements, the Service holder shall ensure that Contractor and/or Subcontractors are following the approved drawings, fabrication procedures and methodologies, and ensure that Contractor and/or Subcontractors have adequate equipment, resources, means and manpower to perform the Service with the required quality level and to complete it in due time.
During the Welding / NDT activities, the Service holder will have to ensure the qualified welders and welding operators are working in accordance to approved welding procedures.
The Service holder organises and participates to routine and random inspections, assists to daily / regular installation meetings related to his discipline with SURF Contractor and/or Subcontractors, performs QA/QC tours and ensures an adequate reporting on a day-to-day basis to the Offshore CPY Site Representative onboard Rigid Pipelay Vessel (areas of concerns, problems encountered in its discipline).
As a general manner, the Service holder provides assistance to the Offshore CPY Site Representative onboard Rigid Pipelay Vessel with all matters related to his discipline and is also accountable for demonstrating, individually, an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSE rules & requirements.

Qualifications/Experience required
Professional Experience (years): minimum 10 years of experience in welding/material/NDE activities.
Experience in similar position (years): more than 5 years of experience with project supervision in relation with SURF welding / NDT (including AUT) activities
Level / Diploma: Engineer, or equivalent
Languages: English mandatory
Qualifications: The Service holder should have UT Level II certification and CSWIP or equivalent welding inspector certification
