MIS Technician (Admin) | Permanent Contract | Hammersmith & Fulham

An ‘Outstanding’ Secondary School in the Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham are on the hunt for a MIS Technician to work under the current Head of MIS. You will be managing all exams, data related activities, attendance and admissions to ensure the School management information system holds accurate and up to date records on students and staff.

This role will require someone who is keen to take up an analysis/data input admin role, while also gain a further understanding of how Secondary Schools work.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• MIS Technician
• Managing exams, data related activities, attendance and admissions
• Administration and organisation (including the timetabling, invigilation and submission)
• Target-setting, monitoring, analysis, evaluation and intervention data, including additional needs provision including access arrangements, social, emotional, behavioural, EAL and G&T data
• To monitor the academic performance of the students through teacher assessments, and internal and external data sources
• Manage accurate attendance details for all students implementing strategies as appropriate for improving overall and individual attendance figures
• Primary contact for admissions
• ASAP Start – Full Time & Term Time Only
• £30,644 per annum
• Located in the Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Must have a University Degree
• You must be keen to learn, and take on additional responsibility in the future
• Must have excellent communication, ICT and presentations skills, both written and oral
• You must have a Detailed knowledge and understanding of Secondary School exams and data requirements, including SIMS, ALIS, ALPS, Learning Plus UK (Post 16) and DfE Level 3 Value Added
• The Head Teacher is keen to find someone who has leadership potential, good interpersonal and motivation skills and the stamina to work hard and get stuck in

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING FIELDS WOULD BE DESIRABLE, BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:

• Experience in raising achievement using data
• Experience in relation to Sixth Form Data
• Experience of managing Exams
• Experience of SIMS
• Experience in School Census
• Leadership of a project or initiative
• Engagement in action research
