
The Medical Dosimetrist is responsible for designing a treatment plan and accurately calculating the delivery of radiation treatment based on the Radiation Oncologist’s prescribed course of radiation therapy and according to established practices and standards.
- Require successful completion of an accredited two- (2-) year Medical Dosimetry program with training in the usage of Varian Medical Systems software and equipment, specifically Eclipse, or a minimum of three (3) years of radiation oncology clinical experience as a dosimetrist with experience utilizing Varian Medical Systems software and equipment, specifically Eclipse.
- Require board eligible for Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification.
- Prefer experience in stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS and SBRT) high dose rate brachytherapy.
- Prefer proficiency in image registration with various image sets to include CT, MRI and PET.
