Assists in the examination of patients under the direction of a Physician or Allied Health professional, and in accordance with M.A. scope of practice. Thorough knowledge of infection control and aseptic techniques. Responsible for maintaining smooth patient flow by accurate assessment of patients’ needs, thorough attention to physician orders and properly scheduling and follow-up of tests and procedures performed on patient. Act as an intermediary between physician and patients when necessary to more appropriately use the physician time. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. HOURS: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm Qualifications EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED required. One (1) year medical group experience preferred. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: Medical Assistant Certification and BLS certification required.
