
Background in working with multi-disciplinary teams to manage and troubleshoot several NPI cycles for high-volume consumer electronics, including onsite issue identification and resolution at manufacturing locations.
Broad, cross-functional understanding of and experience with the product development cycle, including timeline estimates, product execution, ability to see downstream effects of design decisions, perform risk assessment, and develop mitigation plans.
Ability to remain calm in the face of urgent product development requests and quickly resolve complex issues in creative, efficient, and effective ways.
Demonstrated ability to find compromises with high value designs that deliver maximum benefit for minimum risk and schedule impact.
Deep knowledge in several of the following: advanced surfacing, complex plastic injection-molding, castings, sheet metal design, additive manufacturing, rechargeable battery integration, mechanisms, IP ratings, testing, tooling, audio equipment, sensors, and cameras
Expertise with one or more CAD platforms (e.g., NX, SolidWorks, CREO, etc.)
Proven skills in product design, material selection, and tolerance, failure, and root cause analysis
Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
Demonstrated ability to learn and utilize PDM and PLM tools (e.g., TeamCenter, PDMworks, WindChill, Agile, Arena, etc.)
Broad, cross-functional understanding of product execution including ID, EE, ME/PD, and FW including consideration of design intent, product cost, transformation cost, and factory operations.
High level of initiative, sense of ownership, and self-motivation
Willingness and ability to professionally present and defend your and your team’s work, graciously accept and provide feedback, own and learn from mistakes, and have tough conversations.

The salary range for this position is: $77,000 - $202,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
