Job Description Main Job Responsibilities Manages the activities of staff members to ensure key deliverables are met according to client expectations. Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports with analysis of data as requested by clients. Schedules and facilitates internal and client-facing meetings to address issues, obtain feedback and provide updates. Conducts investigations of complex inquiries and escalations; communicates to clients the root cause and remediation actions, where necessary. Drives continuous improvement initiatives that target cost reduction, risk aversion and efficiency gains. Reviews performance appraisals for staff; rewards high performers and supports coaching initiatives for underperformers. Conducts skills and knowledge gap analysis and evaluates effectiveness of training and development initiatives for staff Manages recruitment activities for the team, by assessing candidates and making final hiring decisions. Drives onboarding and user access provisioning activities. Collaborates with senior leadership on the Business Continuity Plan development and updates, assesses criticality of tasks, ensures training of contingency support staff and contributes to annual readiness testing. Guides SLA report preparation and presents metrics analysis and improvement recommendations to senior leadership. Supports employee engagement initiatives and manages team building and employee recognition activities within budget. Manages internal and external audit requests for SOX and SOC 2 compliance as necessary. Coordinates periodic review of process documentation; drives client review and approval on procedural changes. Monitors teams to ensure adherence to Conduent policies. Collaborates with senior leadership on annual goal setting and establishing key performance indicators for team members. Approves payroll summary file for staff members, ensuring accurate and timely submission for payroll processing. Ideal Candidate Characteristics/ Skills and Special Requirements Role Profile 3 years leadership experience Functional Knowledge Requires in depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles in Payroll discipline and growing knowledge of other finance-based disciplines Business Expertise Ability to translate strategy/priorities into work product Impact Able to impact the level of service and the team’s ability to meet quality, volume, and timeliness objectives. Generally guided by policies, resource requirements, budgets and the business plan. Leadership Able to manage a generally homogeneous team; able to build engagement in teams to meet service and/or operational challenges. Problem Solving Able to identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problems. Interpersonal Skills Able to guide, influence and persuade others either internally or lower complexity external customers or agencies.
