As the Automation Apprentice you will gain all the skills, knowledge, and behaviours they need to excel within automation engineering environments. Course details: Professional Engineering (Control Systems Engineer) Degree Apprenticeship | Aston University Apprenticeship standards: Control systems engineer (degree) / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education What will you do? As an Automation engineer is a multi-skilled role specialising in engineering systems that are used to monitor and control manufacturing or process operations, working across a range of equipment such as Programmable Logic Controllers, Human Machine Interfaces, Robots and Industrial Networks in discreet or process manufacturing environments. The use of physical tools, software tools and test or diagnostic instruments, are fundamental to carrying out tasks associated with designing, testing, building, installing, pre commissioning, commissioning and maintaining or servicing of control systems and any associated equipment. You will be working on continuous improvement projects including efficiency and sustainability and learning how to find the root cause and solutions to problems that occur during the manufacturing process. What do we offer you? Starting salary of £20,800 per year, increasing to £26,400 after 1 year (subject to review annually) + annual bonus based on company performance.
