A Primary School in Greenwich is seeking an experienced SEND Learning Support Assistant with knowledge of Autism and Speech & Language Needs to work with a child in Year 2 ASAP

THE ROLE: This role requires a warm, engaging and experienced SEND Learning Support Assistant to commence from October 2021, working with a lovely student in Year 2. The successful applicant will be happy to work within the classroom and individually on a 1:1 basis with this child on a full time basis. The young girl has Autism and Speech & Language needs but very little behavioural problems. Previous knowledge and experience working with children with Autism and Speech & Language Needs is required and an understanding of Makaton and PECS is highly desired, however not essential. This is a full time, long term role with interviews to be conducted as soon as possible and will carry on at least until christmas but possibly until the end of the academic year.

With a supportive SENCO and leadership team they have a clear understanding and desire to support those students with varying levels of Autism and other SEND needs within the school. In addition, having a creative and engaging curriculum the school works towards giving pupils the best possible start to their education through art, play and interactive based learning within the Early Years Foundation stages. This school is based near to Woolwich Arsenal and is easily accessible by the over ground Train, DLR and bus routes from throughout London
