Role Overview This role will have primary responsibility for servicing and supporting all X-ray product lines of Rapiscan systems deployed in HIA project, mainly RTTs and BPIs. This includes the maintenance of the servers/switches and the network infrastructure. Responsibilities Working on Rapiscan’s Product Line: Learn from the IT Specialists the Server setup and PLC engineers for integration and commissioning and become proficient. Design, install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers. Maintain the integrity of a network system by overseeing the cooling system, the delivery capacity of the system server and the installed software. Installs, tests and maintains the network system, set up firewalls, the UPS, routers and data circuits, as well as manages all aspects of the system like telecommunications and database systems. Plan and implement server backup and recovery procedures. Monitor server performance and capacity utilization and recommend upgrades as needed. Develop and maintain Documentation for server infrastructure. Install and configure software and applications on servers. Respond to server or network outages and incidents in a timely manner. Troubleshoot server/network issues and provide resolution. Carry out service site surveys prior to installations and professional site reports. Fitting, system diagnosis, troubleshooting and fault finding on Detection systems & sub systems, carrying out the repair, maintenance and overhaul as necessary elements of Detection systems and escalation for rectification of system issues. Documentation: Completing technical documentation including service reports, engineering change requests & inputting service data to a simple functional database, Ensure timely completion of Field Modification Instructions and Planned Maintenance, corrective repair and Service inspections documentation Carries out all preventive and corrective maintenance works and attends all call-outs. Detailed failure analysis activities, including investigation / reporting / resolution. Spare parts recommendations to management for different service levels or periodic service intervals Works on shifts pattern to support key customer site. Makes sure to submit service reports and non-conformance reports as required without delay. Give regular feedback to Engineering, Product Line Management and QA as part of our continuous improvement programme. Reach out to Engineering / PLM on technical matters when needed Raise Change Requests/Implement/Close as required. Responsible for distributing information to team members and request permission from stakeholders (Duty Manager) to complete planned work. As a technical expert, provide recommendations to improve work and ensure availability of maintained equipment. Qualifications Degree in Industrial Engineering, IT or relevant technical field with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in the administration, configuration and management of a CMMS software application Extensive knowledge of computer systems including network administration and design. Strongly preferred experience with WAN/LAN technologies and protocols, OSPF, RIP, VPN, Switching, VLAN, NAT, PAT, ACL, SNMP, T1, leased lines and structured cabling. Basic Knowledge in Linux OS A recognised qualification in an IT (Microsoft, cisco etc) is a plus. A good general knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, electronics or complex electro-mechanical equipment or systems. Or knowledge of HV Systems i.e. Medical or Industrial engineering discipline. A good knowledge of server configuration and upgrades to server hardware and software A good knowledge of configuring network settings, DNS settings and routing protocols. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V Experience with Storage/Database configuration Knowledge of Fibre Cable Splicing and Testing Maintain clear and concise business communication proficiency, both oral and written Detail oriented, well organized, and self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills Computer literate: competency in use of programs within MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs. Must be team player with ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environment with minimal oversight Flexible schedule based on locations’ contractual operational; non-standard hours including on-call, weekends and holidays required
