We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative IT Business Unit Liaison to serve as the strategic interface between business units and IT. This role is responsible for ensuring clear communication, alignment of priorities, and the successful delivery of technology solutions that meet business needs. The ideal candidate will lead the team of Scrum Masters and Product Owners, coordinate cross-functional planning, and serve as the voice of the business within IT and the voice of IT within the business. This role will partner closely with our Project Management Office (PMO) and business customers to define strategic priorities, facilitate agile delivery, and improve how we intake, evaluate, and deliver technology projects and improvements. This is a hybrid role working out of our Plano, TX corporate office. Responsibilities are as follows: · Business Engagement & Stakeholder Management o Act as the primary liaison between business units and IT for all major initiatives. o Partner with business leaders to understand strategic goals and translate them into actionable IT initiatives. o Facilitate continuous communication to ensure expectations, timelines, and deliverables are aligned. · Agile Leadership & Delivery Oversight o Lead and mentor Scrum Masters and Product Owners across the portfolio. o Ensure Agile standard methodologies are followed and scaled appropriately across teams. o Help prioritize backlogs in alignment with business strategy and resource availability. o Supervise delivery health and provide mentorship to remove obstacles and improve performance. · Strategic Planning & Intake o Support the PMO and business in defining project scopes, success criteria, and resource requirements. o Own the intake process for new technology initiatives; ensure clarity and completeness of business cases. o Establish clear ownership, timelines, and accountability across the lifecycle of a project or improvement. · Governance & Communication o Provide regular updates to executive leadership on project status, risks, and roadblocks. o Establish clear critical metrics and reporting mechanisms for delivery performance and partner happiness. o Collaborate with IT leadership to ensure alignment with architectural standards, compliance requirements, and technical capabilities. · Change Management & Adoption o Work with Change Management teams to drive adoption of new solutions. o Facilitate feedback loops from end users to continuously improve systems and processes. Requirements · Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred). · 8+ years of experience in IT/business relationship management, program delivery, or product management. · 3+ years of experience leading Scrum Masters, Product Owners, or Agile delivery teams. · Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience scaling Agile in an enterprise setting. · Confirmed experience translating business strategies into technology roadmaps and results. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. · Experience working within or alongside a PMO and familiarity with project intake and governance processes. · Experience in financial services, insurance, or other regulated industries is a plus.
