OverviewThe Human Resources Directorate seeks a highly motivated Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst to enhance the performance of our Human Resources (HR) technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing the performance of our HR systems, gathering, and reporting data, enhancing reporting content, making recommendations based on performance metrics, and supporting of workforce analytics. This role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity. You will also be required to assist in the designing of the HRIS processes and maintenance of current systems.
Outstanding Analysts combine their HR knowledge with expertise in technology to ensure optimal HR management and provides employee metrics which will be used by the senior leadership.
Responsibilities- Supports critical system maintenance and operational tasks within the HRMS.
- Ability to analyze, consolidate and generate ad hoc reports.
- Translates business objectives into technical requirements.
- Manages multiple and simultaneous projects dealing with the administration of the HRIS application and/or associated modules.
- Identifies project inter-relationships that will affect project decisions and outcomes.
- Serves as a liaison with IT/HR/Payroll and third parties.
- Use Project Management skills and techniques in managing projects that may span multiple Human Capital Management functions/capability.
- Facilitates meetings and drives a group to consensus both in person and remotely.
- Identifies and recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, and/or alternate methodologies/policy changes while monitoring and sustaining current systems.
- Maintains and administers system security for HR users and people population based on specific level access.
- Maintains confidentiality relating to private people data. Transforms data and analysis into insights and recommendations to inform the strategic direction of the People strategy.
- Evaluate HR Systems to identify points of improvement.
- Works independently, receives minimal guidance.
- Working knowledge of HRIS policies, practices and procedures including legal requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Detail-oriented with experience working with data which requires a high level of accuracy.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) to convey information effectively, adapting communication style to suit both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
