HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR (CONTRACT ROLE)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Health & Safety Advisor is responsible for independent Health and Safety advice to ensure the client operates in a manner which is compliant with corporate objectives and applicable legislation. This role focusses on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) matters, but necessarily also incorporates some aspects of Major Accident Hazard management. This role includes some routine operational support aspects but focusses on delivery of improvement projects, helping to continuously improve safety of our operations. All activities will be performed in accordance with the company's Corporate Management System.
ROLE RESONSIBILITIES:
Liaise with the asset and corporate management team as well as external organisations to develop and execute appropriate plans to manage, monitor and improve OHS performance and implement related projects.
Support onshore and offshore teams in auditing and incident investigation.
Liaise on a day-to-day basis with the Lead HSE Engineer in Aberdeen.
REQUIREMENTS:
Proven track record in an onshore/offshore Safety Advisor or similar role, preferably including longer-term improvement projects.
Willingness to perform activities onshore, offshore or with clients.
Visit assets on a regular basis.
Experience with UK offshore Health and Safety legislation and requirements of main regulatory bodies.
Experience in auditing and incident investigation.
