The Role: Head of Analytics and Reporting - Procurement The Location: US Virtual or US Hybrid Grade (relevant for internal applicants only): 11 The Impact: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Data and Analytics Specialist to join our dynamic procurement team. Key Responsibilities: Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decisions. Specifically, we are looking to set up Spend Reporting, Pipeline Reporting, Contract Expiry Reporting as well as process turnaround time and overall Procurement delivery and performance metrics. Develop and maintain robust data dashboards and reports to provide real-time visibility into procurement performance metrics, supplier performance, cost analysis, and procurement KPIs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Finance, and Technology, to define data requirements and ensure data accuracy and integrity. Implement advanced analytical techniques, such as predictive modeling and data segmentation, to anticipate market trends, risks, and opportunities. Identify areas for process improvement within the procurement function by leveraging data insights to streamline workflows and reduce costs. Support the negotiation process with suppliers by providing data-driven insights on market pricing, supplier performance, and historical purchasing patterns. Manage a team of data analysts to support delivery of key reports to procurement and business stakeholders including providing Division specific reporting to stakeholders in S&P business units as required Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in procurement analytics to drive innovation within the procurement function. Act as a subject matter expert on procurement data analytics, providing guidance and training to team members to enhance overall data literacy within the department. What We're Looking For Qualifications: Must be fluent English language speaker. Superior oral and written communication and presentation skills. Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within a procurement or supply chain context. Must have experiencing using e-Sourcing tools (e.g. Ariba, Scout, Coupa, Ivalua etc.). Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Celonis, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI) and advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Python, R) is a strong advantage. Familiarity with procurement processes, supplier management, and sourcing strategies. Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Demonstrable experience in building strategic partnerships both internally and externally with key stakeholders and vendors with deep knowledge of vendors and trends to inform category planning. Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders effectively. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on data accuracy and integrity. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Flexible in work schedule. Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $72,300 to $141,975. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.
