Fundraising Manager - Corporate & Trusts (2 years fixed term contract)

Charity People are thrilled to be working with a UK-nature based health charity in their search for a Fundraising Manager. This is a newly created role focusing on corporate and trust fundraising within a young and fast-growing charity that's had substantial income growth.

About Dementia Adventure

Established 12 years ago the charity is a charity that is changing the way people think about dementia. They have a vision where people live well with dementia, have contact and connection with nature and enjoy a sense of adventure.

The charity is a fabulous organisation offering a range of unique services; they provide supported dementia holidays and outings, free training for people supporting somebody with dementia and have experienced trainers delivering a range of dementia training to others.

The charity is interested in finding the right person for their team. With this in mind they are taking a flexible approach to considering either full-time or part-time candidates.

About the role

In this newly created role, you will develop income from corporates and trusts and foundations. You will identify strategic funding opportunities and develop relationships that make them possible.

With corporates you will facilitate partnerships with organisations who wish to provide financial or in-kind support to dementia initiatives. With trusts you will write compelling applications that get to the heart of the charity and that are supported by data and research.

You will join a small and passionate fundraising team who work collaboratively. You will currently manage and mentor one fundraiser responsible for researching grant funders, writing small grant applications, challenge events, some community fundraising and supporting the team generally.

About you

We are looking for an experienced fundraiser with a track record of securing income from a relationship based fundraising program. You will have corporate partnerships experience and ideally some experience securing funding from trusts, foundations or statutory.

You will be pro-active with the ability to identify opportunities and the confidence to start conversations with prospects that result in financial and in-kind support.

You will have excellent writing skills, able to create emotionally compelling content and deliver confident and engaging talks and presentations.
