Job Description Core Responsibilities SRE Windows Server Infrastructure As a Windows Server Infrastructure SRE, your role will be to support a large-scale Microsoft Windows Server estate and associated technology including, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Systems Centre, Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy. You will: Have experience of Infrastructure automation development to enhance and extend our Microsoft Windows Server estate and support capability. Deliver effective and timely support for project activity. Proactive service management, monitoring & troubleshooting operational issues. To work as part of a team responsible for the support and delivery of improvements across a large Windows based estate Building effective working relationships with a variety of infrastructure and application teams to ensure that technology and process improvements deliver overall service improvements to our end customers. Communicate regularly with technical, development and operational staff to maintain Platform integrity, capacity and security. Familiarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts; including TCP/IP connections, HTTP Protocol, SSL, firewalls, VLANs, Proxy enablement, DNS, Load balancing. Employees at all levels are expected to: Advanced skills in typical automation technologies and programming languages. Powershell, Ansible, etc Deep technical skills managing Windows Servers & associated Microsoft Technologies at scale in large blue chip companies.
