Overview Want to play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining the underlying technology infrastructure that supports the IT platform ecosystem for a Fortune 200 Company with some of the most iconic brands? If you have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, along with twelve plus years of experience working as a solutions architect, system architect, or similar role in designing and implementing complex IT systems and architectures, we want to speak with you! We are currently seeking a Director of Platform Architecture to lead our Platform Architecture team and are open to a remote work arrangement. Currently, this role has responsibility for SAP, PLM, and MS365 environments. Salesforce.com is under consideration as the next platform to incorporate into this role. This Director is responsible for crafting and implementing the architecture of the IT platform, ensuring its scalability, reliability, and security while aligning with the organization's strategic objectives. What you will be doing: Designing and maintaining the overall architecture blueprint for the IT platform, encompassing hardware, software, networking, and cloud infrastructure components. Defining and developing Architectural blueprints and strategies to future proof solutions to ensure lower Total Cost of Ownership and higher scalability & reliability. Planning scalable, robust and secure solutions in accordance with best practices and alignment to OOTB templates and solutions. Writing detailed solution/application designs documents as well as application integrations artifacts. Advising the steering committee and forums that oversee the technology product evolution and roadmaps. Researching and evaluating new technologies, tools, and platforms to find opportunities for innovation and optimization within the IT landscape. Designing and implementing seamless integration between different systems, applications, and services to enable efficient data flow and interoperability. Ensuring that the IT platform architecture is capable of scaling to meet growing demands and performance requirements, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing latency. Implementing robust security measures and protocols to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Collaborating with multi-functional teams, including Business Architects, developers, engineers, project managers, and business partners, to gather requirements, define solutions, and communicate architectural decisions effectively. Creating comprehensive documentation of the IT platform architecture, including diagrams, standards, guidelines, and optimal methods, and establish governance processes to ensure alignment to architectural principles. Monitoring and analyzing system performance metrics, identify areas for optimization and enhancement, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and effectiveness of the IT platform. We want you to have: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 12+ years of experience working as a solutions architect, system architect, or similar role in designing and implementing complex IT systems and architectures. In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, design patterns, and standard methodologies. Demonstrated experience in ERP systems with a key focus on SAP with experience creating the overall strategy for this platform. Experience with Microsoft 365 with a focus on integration of capabilities with enterprise systems preferred. Familiarity with SAP S/4, PLM systems and integration approaches preferred. Proficiency in a wide range of technologies, including but not limited to cloud computing, virtualization, containerization, networking, databases, and security preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions. Superb communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical partners. Experience with agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines is preferred. Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are a plus. Total Rewards The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $131,100.00 - $229,500.00 / annually.
