JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Director, Marketing Communications is a creative, strategic and an effective leader with a proven track record in marketing strategy, campaign execution, storytelling, and customer advocacy. This role is a key member on our marketing team, leading our owned and earned marketing efforts. This person will lead a team to drive our social channels, win with PR and events, and build effective and holistic marketing campaigns throughout the year. This role will require deep marketing knowledge and must bring strategic agility, out-of-the-box thinking, creativity, strong influencing and leadership skills, organization, disciplined communication, a bias for action, and strong interpersonal skills. Successful Director, Marketing Communications will: Drive demand generation by connecting, engaging, and developing loyalty with customers using storytelling, business insights, and data acumen Create customer preference and engagement through campaigns that deliver specific and measurable KPIs Create consideration and adoption of key audiences for acquisition; maintain loyalty funnel and retention opportunities. Develop account based marketing strategy to help drive growth targets through effective targeting and communication approaches. Develop and execute strategic marketing campaigns/plans informed by customer and market insights to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability, and market share, analyzing marketing programs and adjusting strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness. Distill complex business concepts into clear, concise, compelling value propositions, positioning, and messaging. Thought leadership & content strategy Drive strategic content creation and market execution for B2B growth strategies. Lead or collaborate with cross-functional resources and agencies to execute market programs in areas that may include but are not limited to product development, branding, collateral, direct mail, advertising, and effective customer/consumer promotions and special events. Track market trends by working closely with analytics to derive competitive strategy and differentiation Drive re-balancing of priorities to meet market opportunities or unexpected needs. Required Qualifications: 8+years of experience in marketing communications building winning marketing campaigns. People management experience preferred. Experience with marketing campaign processes, performance analytics, and best practices. Preferred Qualifications: Creative and strategic thinker with a passion for winning. Comfortable in a very fast paced, agile environment. Proactive with a growth mindset. Experience leading a team of direct reports and broader cross functional teams to deliver exceptional results Experience in dealership marketing, dealership operations, and explaining solutions based on the needs of those dealers. Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities. Ability to identify opportunities to maximize demand creation, pipeline contribution, and sales opportunity acceleration. Proven understanding of core business processes including sales, marketing, and business development. You are highly organized, with strong planning and project management skills, being able to build timelines and back into dates and identify dependencies to keep the plan in motion You are a great communicator with interpersonally skills who is savvy in networking and working with many internal and external stakeholders in addition to managing relationships with different vendors, organizations within our (automotive) industry, agencies, on-site event staff and more What We Offer: Competitive base salary and bonus.
