AKER SOLUTIONS CONGO MISSION STATEMENT
Aker Solutions Congo (ASC) is established for the purpose of creating value for clients and owners by providing superior customer service to Angolan sector operators within the oil and gas industry. Superior customer service will be achieved through continual improvement, leadership involvement, demonstration of initiative, proactive anticipation of client demands, diligent attention to detail, and an effective HSE program designed to identify, report, and prevent unwanted conditions. ASA shall be a good corporate citizen acting in line with the interests of the Congolese Authorities and the general public.
Job Description
Objectives
• Assist in planning SCM/MCM/SRM work scopes and liaise on spares requirements.
• Perform strip down, rework, and testing of Aker Solutions modules to high quality standards.
Responsibilities/Activities
• Plan and execute module rework, manage spares allocation, and meet deadlines.
• Provide fault analysis and detailed feedback for SRT reporting.
• Efficiently strip down and repair modules, avoiding schedule creep.
• Lead module testing onshore and train others.
• Assist in XMT testing through SCM.
• Maintain workshop test equipment and ensure calibration.
• Support offshore operations and travel as needed.
Team Coordination
• Ensure compliance with HSSE procedures and regulations.
• Follow the SJA process.
• Assist specialized offshore staff and maintain good customer communication.
• Manage offshore team, including timesheets, rotation, and appraisals.
• Propose and evaluate training for personnel.
• Engage in performance surveys and manage non-routine activities.
Customer Service Skills
• Maintain a positive attitude and meet customer needs.
• Go the extra mile for customers and commit to continuous improvement.
• Use positive communication and respect customers' time.
Competences and Qualifications
• Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent experience).
Work Experience
• Minimum 10 years with subsea control systems; Aker experience preferred.
Professional Experience and Qualifications
• Good English skills (written and oral).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of build management and electro-hydraulic systems.
• Initiative, flexibility, and cooperation skills.
Behaviours and Leadership Skills:
• Personal discipline and good interpersonal skills.
• Lead medium-sized teams, negotiate goals, and ensure personal development and resource allocation.
• Autonomy, initiative, and time management.
• Ability to manage work and resources.
