As a key partner to our Computing and Information Technology (CIT) Directorate, you will shape and amplify the narrative around cloud innovation, helping bridge technical expertise with meaningful, engaging communication that resonates Lab-wide. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Communication Execution: deliver timely, thoughtful, and impactful communications. Campaign Creation and Execution: Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive communication campaigns that articulate branding, objectives, benefits, and impacts of initiatives, including cloud efforts. Ensure all messaging aligns with Lab-wide priorities and supports the PNNL narrative. Messaging Craftsmanship: Translate programs and tools into engaging, easy-to-understand messages for Lab staff and external audiences. Develop compelling content tailored to diverse internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their perspectives, concerns, and feedback. Utilize these insights to shape communications that address their needs. Innovative Content Creation: Develop impactful communication materials including emails, newsletters, videos, presentations, and other relevant collateral. Enhance the quality and effectiveness of communications by optimizing processes, tools, and collaboration efforts. Communications Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of communication strategies. Use data-driven insights to assess and refine approaches to maximize engagement and impact. Strategic Alignment and Consistency: Align communications strategies to Lab-wide narratives, identifying opportunities for enhancing consistency across campaigns and integrating key messaging to maximize impact. Infuse thought leadership into strategic plans. Communication Toolkits: Develop communication toolkits and resources that empower Lab staff to effectively convey key messages, ensuring consistent and strategic outcomes. Engaging Presentations: Prepare both internal and external presentations for the Cloud Computing team that align with organizational goals. Regularly assess and report on communication outcomes, making data-driven adjustments as needed. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: BS/BA and 7+ years of relevant experience, -OR- MS/MA and 5+ years of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated executive communications experience. Strong ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise, and engaging manner. Proven experience creating high-end keynote presentations with proficiency in PowerPoint. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Proficiency in managing social media platforms and understanding digital communication trends. Demonstrated success developing and implementing metrics-informed communication plans and strategies. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior leadership and quickly establish/maintain trust with others. High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
