Charity People is thrilled to be supporting Commonweal House to find their next Communications Assistant. The charity's mission: to fight social injustices with housing-based solutions; by supporting research and projects, to provide bespoke housing that enables partners to test and evaluate how housing can solve social injustices. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to build a career in communications and public affairs in the third sector.
You will work with a team dedicated to providing excellent communication of the charity's key messages, project learnings, as well as helping to highlight social injustices in the UK. You will gain invaluable experience in strategic communications, and your work will be instrumental in forwarding the fight against social injustices through housing-based solutions.
Spanning communications, policy, events, and administration, this is a varied role that includes the following core responsibilities:
Ideally, you'll have demonstrable experience in marketing or communications; perhaps having worked in the not-for-profit sector; but, most importantly, you must have a willingness to learn! An interest in and understanding of policy is essential to the role, as is:
The primary working location will be based on Blackfriars Road, Southwark, London, SE1. Commonweal Housing is happy to offer flexible working with a hybrid working base of home and office. Part-time working will also be considered, with a minimum of three days per week.
Salary: £22,000--£24,000 (DPE).
