«out The Role First Community Bank of Utah is seeking a highly motivated individual with business lending experience to join our Commercial Lending team! We are seeking someone with proven sales experience to analyze loan requests and make strategic decisions on credit and lending needs to achieve customer satisfaction while always adhering to policies and practices. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Participate in commercial business development activities. Interview business loan applicants to develop information concerning their loan needs, earnings, and financial conditions. Analyze current financial position of customers to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. Make decisions to approve, disapprove, or forward the loan request to higher levels for decision. Explain loan programs to customers, evaluates their needs and recommends loan options. Establish the terms and conditions for a loan approval and reviews them with the customer. Prepare and/or review all loan documents for completion and accuracy and closing loan transactions. Follow current loans to ensure compliance with terms and coordinates with collections. Stay informed of current trends in business credits. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Participated in company sponsored and CRA activities that serve to support the mission and values of the organization, or devote time to an outside organization that respectably represents involvement of our staff members in the community and establishes a valuable partnership with our company. Actively seek out and pursue CRA eligible loans for FCBU. Provide superior internal and external customer services: must demonstrate self-governance, courtesy, and respect toward external customers as well as internal customers (all organization personnel). Complete required bank and BVS training courses within assigned time frame(s). Represent First Community Bank in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs. Keep work area tidy and maintain customer privacy. Attends and participates in meetings as required. Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Adhere to First Community Bank Utah’s Company Core Values. Keeps management appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems. Regular and predictable attendance in order to accomplish, among other things, in-person contact with customers. Additional duties as requested or assigned. About You QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in business, finance, economics, or related field. Or, 2+ years applicable relevant experience. Please note: Selected candidate will be placed in a Level I, II, III, or IV according to related experience. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of company loan services, policies and procedures, as well as an understanding of related legal and regulatory standards and required loan documentation First Community Bank of Utah will conduct a credit and background screening as a part of the pre-hire process. SCHEDULE: Full Time, Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional moving and/or lifting of up to 20 lbs. Must be able to operate routine office equipment. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 4-6 hours per day. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
