Coating Supervisor
Purpose and Contribution Level:
• To plan and supervise the execution of fit for purpose, cost effective fabric maintenance that meets the requirements of the business. Acts as the CLIENT representative when interacting with fabric maintenance service providers at site and vendor locations.
Qualifications:
• NACE/AMPP Certified Coatings Inspector Level 2 or Level 3.
• BOSIET with CA-EBS
• UKOOA Medical
• Humidur / STOPAQ / PFP - attended product specific training program approved by coating manufacturer
Experience:
• 3+ years as NACE/AMPP Certified Coatings Inspector Level 2 or Level 3.
• 3+ years as Coatings Supervisor.
• 10+ years oil industry experience, of which 5+ are offshore.
• Experience with both campaign and find-and-fix fabric maintenance.
• Supervisory experience with a services contractor a plus.
Core Responsibilities:
• This is an offshore based role with a 14on - 14 off rotation.
• Direct, supervise and optimise all fabric maintenance activities.
• Influence Contractors and drive alignment with CLIENT's Standards, Guidelines and Specifications.
• Ensure FM contractor implements and complies with CLIENT's QA/QC requirements.
• Drive consistent coating application.
• Manage interfaces with both CLIENT and external (e.g., contractors, coating vendors) personnel.
• Review and implement Lessons Learned.
Operations & Engineering Responsibilities:
• Prepare and agree with FM teams day-to-day, weekly and monthly targets.
• Review work scopes to ensure that they have been correctly resourced & can be executed as planned.
• Ensure scope of work is clear to the personnel executing the scope.
• Supervise the coating process and ensure that the work is completed efficiently and effectively.
• Ensure that all equipment and tools are properly maintained and in good working condition.
• Monitor safety protocols and ensure that all team members are following proper safety procedures.
• Identify / escalate any fabric maintenance queries that require support.
• Prepare daily reports on preparation and painting activities performed.
Health, Safety, and Environmental:
• Embed CLIENT safety culture in fabric maintenance teams.
• Support HSE programs and set an example to others.
