ZS’s Cloud Center of Excellence team defines and implements cloud best practices that ensure secure and resilient enterprise grade systems architecture for client facing/delivery software solutions. The Cloud team at ZS is a casual, collaborative, and a smart group with offices in Evanston, Illinois and Pune, India. The Cloud Application Lead – Reporting Services[BI/MSTR will manage and be accountable for ensuring efficient incident handling, adherence to change management process, managing response time SLAs of ZS Cloud Solutions specializing in Reporting Services[BI] and be the team SPOC for all primary escalations. This will include collaborating with external teams, occasionally working with client teams, guiding and mentoring team members as needed, creating incident reports and RCAs etc. The responsibilities also include availability, performance monitoring and troubleshooting; and coordination with Tier 1-3 Technical support. Primary Responsibilities Manage the India based Reporting Services team [Business Intelligence] and have a specialization in MicroStrategy Participate as an integral and active member of the Global (US and India) operations team with the ability to be hands on when needed Implement robust and maintainable solutions consistent with ZS and industry practices; communicate software and infrastructure architecture clearly with business and technical stakeholders Architect a stable MicroStrategy solution guaranteed for high operational availability - Expertise in MicroStrategy platform sizing/capacity planning/scaling, tuning & disaster recovery Identify improvement areas in Environment hosting and upgrade processes. Identify automation opportunities and implement automation processes. Develop and document standard/best practices for development and administration of the MicroStrategy platform Partner closely with cross-functional leaders (development/product management/stakeholders/ etc.) to ensure a clear understanding of business and technical needs; jointly select the best strategy after evaluating the benefits and costs associated with different approaches Has full scope responsibility for diverse, complex, multiple and potentially internal and external tool sets /infrastructure elements /platforms and meets defined service level agreements Leads and participates in implementation activities, which may include providing technical oversight Serves as a primary point of contact 24X7 for P1 customer issues/escalations for mission-critical systems/services and coordinates with the team as needed Develop and oversee the delivery of service metrics (performance, availability, etc.) as well as ensures continual customer satisfaction improvement Closely collaborate with implementation teams to ensure understanding and utilization of the most optimal approach Oversee adherence to standards and guidelines for scalability, performance, resilience, and efficient operations Create documented procedures for and oversee team while verifying issues, incident resolution, escalation management, root cause determination Establish policies, standards, practices and security measures to ensure compliance with accepted industry practices Coordinate and communicate with other functional groups throughout ZS and externally to ensure timely communication and incident resolution Educate and share expertise; present ideas and approaches to both technical and non-technical audiences Know and care about what the customer wants from our service -- and be willing to stand up for it! Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in CS, IT or EE Hands-on experience designing and operating application architecture for enterprise solutions 7+ years of experience in MSTR Administration Knowledge of AWS Administration, Application deployment and configuration management Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, RDS, EFS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudFront, Application Load Balancer, Security Groups etc.) Designed solutions for complex problems in MicroStrategy like: Automate MicroStrategy installation for I-Server and Web/Mobile Server on Linux and Windows platform Automate access provisioning - user creation/modification Automate Object migration through System Manager Hosting web services on IIS and Apache Tomcat Refined and enhanced the technical architecture to keep pace with changing business demands and new MicroStrategy releases Experience in driving out requirements and building documentation process Excellent Troubleshooting capabilities not only MicroStrategy Server but also on the underlying infrastructure such as OS and Network, ability to analyze logs and perform root cause analysis Advance database and data warehousing concepts and best practices Good knowledge of different Operating Systems like Windows, Linux, Unix, Good knowledge of RDBMS and database technologies like SQL server, PostgreSQL. Good Knowledge of any scripting language like PowerShell, Python, Bash/Shell scripting Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment Awareness of latest technologies and trends Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills 5+ years of exposure to other BI technologies like Tableau, Power BI, Quicksight, etc is preferred Solid knowledge of infrastructure technologies and cloud native services Experience working in agile teams with short release cycles Possess strong verbal, written and team presentation communication skills This role requires healthy doses of initiative and the ability to remain flexible and responsive in a very dynamic environment Ability to work within a global (US and India) team environment and contribute to the overall timely delivery of multiple projects Knowledge of current data modeling, and data warehouse concepts, issues, practices, methodologies, and trends Experience of working in ITIL based environment ZS is a global consulting firm. Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
