Position Summary Purpose The primary role of this position is to work with outside sales team to prepare bids and proposals in conjunction with the operating groups. (Engineering, Manufacturing, Scheduling, and Purchasing).
Duties & Responsibilities Functions ESSENTIAL
• Perform detailed reviews of client and industry standard specifications.
• Work extensively with operating groups to prepare bid cost spreadsheets, price quotations, drawings, and product delivery schedules to meet customer RFQ requirements.
• Work with the bids and proposals staff to process sales orders.
• Assist account managers with hand over meeting and follow-up activities with the operating groups at the completion of the bidding process.
ADDITIONAL
• Identify deviation from Company or industry standard practices.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with customers during the bid preparation and clarification process.
• Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Reporting Relationship • Reports to Project Sales Manager.
Qualifications Qualifications REQUIRED
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration discipline
• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, Adobe Acrobat and Outlook or similar email system.
DESIRED
• Subsea oil and gas or heavy equipment industry experience
• Sales experience
• Familiarity or ability with software packages such as PeopleSoft and CRM

Working Conditions This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.
• Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.
• Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place.
• Work surface is stable (flat).
