Þscription The Milton and Carroll Petrie Department of Urology has long been a leader in clinical practice, education, and research. Faculty in our Department, which is housed within the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, perform complex procedures using robotics, laparoscopy, and endoscopy, all as a part of our minimally invasive urologic surgery program. We remain equally committed to engaging in breakthrough research while training the next generation of leaders in the field. For more than a decade, under the leadership of Chair Ash Tewari, MBBS, MCh, FRCS (Hon.), DSc (Hon.) the Department has significantly expanded its recruitment efforts of physician-scientists in the areas of prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, kidney stones, and endourology. Now more than ever, we are expertly equipped to address diagnostic and treatment challenges across the urologic spectrum. Under limited supervision, the Associate Researcher II conducts experiments using advanced techniques specific to the research project. Analyzes and assists in interpreting moderately complex results. Responsibilities Conducts experiments using advanced research techniques specific to subject matter of the research project. Analyzes and assists in interpreting moderately complex results. Performs assays to support research studies. Assists in new and unexpected research experiments and techniques. Assists in the collection, analysis and review of experimental data for publication and presentation. May train less-experienced research staff and postdoctoral fellows in research techniques and use of equipment.
