Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead E&I Engineer to join our team in Melbourne. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate applicant will be part of a major project with other professionals.<br />
<br />
<b>Responsibilities</b></p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>Leads a high performing E&I Discipline team on the design effort of a major project</li>
<li>Leads the creation of instrument specifications, control panel layouts, loop / schematic design, conduit/cable tray layouts, cable schedules, instrument location drawings, network architectures, instrument index/IO, P&IDs</li>
<li>Works with new product technologies associated with Control Systems and Safety Instrumented Systems and has the capability to estimate hardware design and implementation effort</li>
<li>Manages scope and meets project schedules by providing weekly updates using Wood&
39;s tools to reflect the E&I team&
39;s progress</li>
<li>Provides E&I engineering expertise to the client, ranging from conceptual, front-end, detailed design and close-out deliverables</li>
<li>Co-ordinates activities with other disciplines and EPC functions, such as, Supply Chain and Construction functions</li>
<li>Plans and executes site acceptance tests, commissioning, and start-up at customer plant sites</li>
<li>Develops E&I discipline estimates</li>
</ul>

<b>Skills / Qualifications </b></p>

<ul>
<li>Relevant Engineering Degree (eligible for membership to Engineers Australia)</li>
<li>Possesses over 15 years&
39; E&I engineering experience</li>
<li>Prior experience on ammonia nitrate plants as well as onshore and offshore O&G facilities essential</li>
<li>Must convey a professional image with customers</li>
<li>Prior experience working with high value engineering centres highly regarded</li>
<li>Familiar with HAZOP, HAZID, SIL/LOPA, MAE workshop processes</li>
<li>Familiar with applicable industry codes and processes</li>
<li>Excellent team management skills in a challenging work environment</li>
<li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential</li>
<li>Ability to build and sustain customer relationships</li>
</ul>
