Lead Civil/Structural Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team in Melbourne. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate applicant will be part of a major project with other professionals. <br><br> <b>Responsibilities</b> <br><ul><li> Leads a high performing Civil/Structural Discipline team on the design effort of a major project </li><li> Provide detailed engineering input to all design phases, including interpretation and challenge of standards </li><li> Reviews and approves project drawings, standards, procedures, and specifications </li><li> Manages scope and meets project schedules by providing weekly updates using Wood's tools to reflect the mechanical discipline team's progress </li><li> Provides mechanical engineering expertise to the client, ranging from conceptual, front-end, detailed design and close-out deliverables </li><li> Coordination with disciplines in preparation and development of deliverables </li><li> Provide practical engineering support to the construction/commissioning phases of projects </li><li> Takes responsibility for study, design, specification, and services related to the engineering discipline </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Relevant Engineering Degree (eligible for membership to Engineers Australia) </li><li> Possesses over 15 years' civil/structural engineering experience </li><li> Prior experience on ammonia nitrate plants as well as onshore and offshore O&G facilities essential </li><li> Must convey a professional image with customers </li><li> Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (AS, ASME, ASTM, ANSI, API, etc.) </li><li> Prior experience working with high value engineering centers highly regarded </li><li> Excellent team management skills in a challenging work environment </li><li> Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential </li><li> Ability to build and sustain customer relationships </li></ul><br> Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role. <br><br>If you're a Lead Civil/Structural Engineer, ready for your next project, then we are keen to hear from you today. <br><br>Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity! <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
