Wood is currently seeking an <b>Engineering Systems Manager</b> for the Australia Mining & Mineral group to oversee the Engineering Sytems team to develop and maintain engineering support systems and workflows and ensure these systems are deployed and utilised effectively within Wood and associated projects.<br />

As part of this highly visible role, key accountabilities include (but will not be limited to):</p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>Responsible for technical development and strategic planning in areas of engineering information in Australian offices</li>
<li>CAD software, plant design software, related database technology and data integration</li>
<li>Be accountable for the provision of engineering systems (incl. CAD) within Wood M&M Australia</li>
<li>Develop and maintain quality procedures, system standards and libraries that reflect best practices and are in accordance with Wood standards</li>
<li>Oversee the acquisition of engineering and CAD related hardware and software</li>
<li>Ensure accurate and efficient transfer of engineering information between project participants including clients, vendors, and remote project team members</li>
<li>Responsible for the monitoring and reporting on all support related activities</li>
<li>Provide advice to Project Managers, Engineers and Designers on ways to optimise their use of engineering and CAD environments</li>
<li>Investigate and resolve CAD and related engineering information problems encountered by Designers and Engineers</li>
<li>Train and educate all engineering personnel in the use of the Wood CAD environment and procedures</li>
<li>Perform commissioning, de-commissioning and implementation of all CAD related hardware and software</li>
<li>Develop, customise and deploy CAD and engineering software as required</li>
<li>Assess the suitability of staff and identify key resources for specific tasks/project work</li>
<li>Drive professional development of direct reports and act as a mentor for them where required</li>

<b>Skills / Qualifications </b><br />
<br />
What will set you apart is your previous experience in a large engineering company and excellent knowledge of the Engineering Systems used on mining and mineral projects. Other experiences we will look for include:</p>

<ul>
<li>Tertiary qualifications in computer science or related field is highly desirable</li>
<li>A minimum of 10 years&
39; experience, preferably in a large / medium-sized complex environment, covering aspects such as systems analysis, configuration, change and release management, design and set-up, performance monitoring and performance analysis</li>
<li>Experience in the configuration of CAD hardware and networking environments</li>
<li>Excellent Microstation skills</li>
<li>Thorough knowledge of Plant Design Software and its applications, experience with Bentley products highly desirable</li>
<li>Experience in documenting installation, configuration and maintenance standards and procedures</li>
<li>Experience in developing user documentation and delivering end-user training</li>
<li>Familiar with SQL relational database platform</li>
<li>Ability to read, analyse and interpret technical reference material and guides</li>
<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>A pro-active attitude with ability to prioritise and work under pressure</li>
<li>Effective leadership skills with ability to delegate effectively</li>
<li>Strong problem solving, and analytical skills</li>
<li>A capacity for persistence and resilience and patience in a sometimes challenging environment.</li>
