Senior Piping Designer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Piping Designer to join our team in Brisbane on a permanent contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing and contributing to Projects in accordance with project budget, technical requirements, cost estimates, and undertake design reviews to ensure they are fit for purpose and be confident in executing these plant layouts and piping design activities utilising in house PDMS system. <br><br>This role will be part of a close knit and proficient Engineering Team within Wood that supports each other as well as ensuring our client receives best practice support, ensuring we deliver at the highest level possible. <br><br><b> Responsibilities </b> <br><ul><li> To have a full understanding of the project's scope, overall schedule, deliverables, milestones, manhour budgets, industry standards, applicable codes, and procedures. </li><li> To be highly capable and confident in developing brownfields concepts, FEED through to execution, in a seamless fashion working with all other disciplines in design and Engineering project personnel </li><li> Sound interpersonal skills, liaising with members of other disciplines and departments </li><li> Apply an awareness and willingness to work as a team member </li><li> Site experience with the capability to perform field walk downs using P&ID's, locating tie points dimensionally, and routing pipe through existing facilities. Locate and identify pipe support types </li><li> Ensure open communication between stakeholders including peers and Project Managers to ensure schedules are met in accordance with project requirements </li><li> Quality Assurance - work within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems.
