Mechanical Fitter - Mt. Crosby

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood has a collaborative maintenance contract with Seqwater to deliver leading maintenance services in the water industry. These projects cover South East Queensland across multiple locations. <br><br>We are currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter to support mechanical/civil services for the Minor Capital Works Team. This full-time role is based at the Mount Crosby Water Treatment Plant executing Minor Capital Projects. <br><br>At this time, we will only consider applications from Australian citizens or those with the required permit/VISA for this region, in place. <br><br><b> Responsibilities </b><br><ul><li> Observe and comply with Seqwater work health and safety, quality and environmental management systems and procedures </li><li> Provide safe and efficient technical support in the team with planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution of projects </li><li> Identify the resource requirements necessary to perform the assigned data gathering tasks - e.g., materials, equipment, subcontractors </li><li> Contribute to the ongoing efficiency and effectiveness of the Seqwater asset management system by developing and displaying a detailed understanding of the scope, function and nature of the mechanical assets used in water treatment, supply system and bulk water storage </li></ul><br><b> Requirements </b><br><ul><li> Extensive experience in Mechanical Brownfield projects execution and/or maintenance of water assets will be considered an advantage </li><li> Understanding the scope of work, function and nature of mechanical and electrical assets </li><li> Experience with WHS Risk Management Systems and Processes (Critical Controls, SWMS, JSAs) and the ability to read engineering drawings </li><li> Self-motivated and ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team </li><li> Sound written, interpersonal and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a range of people </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Trade qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter, Fitter and Turner or equivalent trade </li><li> Experience in planning, scheduling, engagement, and management of sub-contractors </li><li> Experience in directing Trades Assistants </li><li> Current
