Electrical & Integrated Electronic Security Systems Deputy Construction Man

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood Programs, Inc. (WPI) is seeking an <b>Electrical & Integrated Electronic Security Systems Deputy Construction Manager </b>with a strong engineering and project management background to support the PM and CM with overall construction management and subcontractor coordination on a large international design/build construction project on behalf of the US Government in Poland. Responsible for the management of all IESS construction related requirements, project deliverables, and project quality, schedule, and cost. <br><br>Key Responsibilities: <br><br> Support PM and CM with; <br><ul><li> Develop coordination plans, 3 week look ahead schedules and work plans </li><li> Inspects incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests; rejects and returns unacceptable materials </li><li> Generates daily inspection report for construction activities </li><li> Ensures compliance with the specifications, drawings and standards </li><li> Act as the primary source of field Quality Assurance, and monitor the Contractors Quality Control processes and QC Inspection reporting and corrective actions </li><li> Assures that the Work conforms to Contracts Documents, and initiates action to prevent, stop or correct any quality control deficiencies, defective work, or deficient QC reports </li><li> Conducts spot surveillance of all craft disciplines to assure high quality standards of workmanship are maintained </li><li> Interacts closely with the Contractors field personnel to resolve field issues </li><li> Ensures the development and maintenance of the As-Built drawing records </li><li> Generates Safe Plans of Action and Safety Observation Reports </li><li> Provides input for contract change orders, submittal responses, and RFI responses </li><li> Maintains a record of construction deficiencies and punch list items </li><li> Takes photographs of major construction activities </li><li> Review all material test results </li><li> Verify that the contractor's record drawings are current </li><li> Attend progress meetings as requested </li><li> Review submittals and RFIs from suppliers for compliance with specifications and drawings </li><li> Works with Document Management/Document Control Team to process responses to RFIs and submittals within the SharePoint environment </li><li> Pay App Review with client and subs </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Must have familiarity and working knowledge of large electrical systems as well as low-voltage security and communications systems </li><li> Familiarity with Honeywell Vindicator security systems is a plus </li><li> Familiarity with USACE Quality Assurance Process and/or willingness to get certified </li><li> Must maintain a physical presence at the site at all times and is responsible for all construction and related activities at the site </li><li> Communicate effectively with DoD clients and multi-cultural staff and subcontractors </li><li> Interface through the Project Manager with Home Office support, program and sector management </li><li> Must have a 2-5 years experience on complex engineering / fabrication / construction projects </li><li> International experience is a plus </li><li> A degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture or equivalent is a plus </li><li> Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and computer skills </li><li> Must have strong written and spoken communication skills (English) </li><li><b> Ability to obtain a USG Secret Clearance required </b></li></ul><ul><li> Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
