Wood is recruiting for an <b>Electrical Package Engineer</b> to join our team in Perth, Western Australia as part of it&
39;s Operations APAC West business. This is an initial 12 month opportunity and anticipated to be an ongoing requirement.<br />
<br />
Wood delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the oil and gas sector and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region&
39;s most prominent producers, actively supporting operations in Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Kazakhstan.<br />
<br />
You will be reporting directly to the Lead Electrical Engineer and working across FEED / Execution to EPCM delivery, across some of world&
39;s most technically challenging brownfields Oil & Gas projects for Wood&
39;s Electrical Engineering group.<br />
<br />
Your scope will be:</p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>Responsible for Electrical Engineering packages and vendor packages in an EPCM environment</li>
<li>Managing scope development for tender</li>
<li>Managing technical and commercial bid clarifications</li>
<li>Managing technical bid evaluation</li>
<li>Focal point for communications related to the packages</li>
<li>Liaison, coordination, scheduling and progress tracking</li>
<li>Client interface and reporting</li>
<li>Managing procurement</li>
<li>Managing development of installation workpacks</li>
<li>Witnessing testing / commissioning</li>
<li>Arranging handover documentation</li>
</ul>

<b>Skills / Qualifications </b><br />
<br />
<b>You will must be an Australian citizen or currently hold Permanent Residency (PR) and are able to work lawfully in Australia without company sponsorship. </b><br />
<br />
Suitably qualified in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution, ideally you will have a minimum of 10+ years of proven experience in the Oil &Gas Brownfields Engineering / EPCM sector in Australia.<br />
<br />
In addition, you will have:</p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>Engineering office design experience with experience in either some / all of the following:
<ul>
<li>power generation</li>
<li>power distribution (MV & LV)</li>
<li>equipment specification (i.e. Power Transformers, MV & LV motors and drives, MV & LV switchgear, cabling, lighting, earthing)</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Design knowledge of applicable codes and standards (both international and Australian)</li>
<li>Excellent analytical, literacy and numerical skills</li>
<li>Highly organised and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)</li>
<li>Be prepared to undertake site visits either onshore / offshore</li>
<li>Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and engineering programs</li>
<li>A" solutions mindset" and able to manage varying tasks with often changing and competing priorities</li>
</ul>
