Manager, WW Network & Security SE, Strategy & Planning - Opportunity for Working Remotely

Manager for WW Network & Security Strategy & Planning will join the Network and Security Specialist Solution Engineering pre-sales organization and will work as a partner to Director of Strategy & Planning. Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? Within 30 days of employment, establish relationships with your stakeholders, become competent in VMware’s data strategies, and work closely with your business partners to understand their unique data needs. Within 90 days of employment, you will be expected to lead, design and maintain data for various programs and operational needs. Within 180 days, you will be expected to support your business partners long and short term data needs by strategically positioning data products with the stakeholders. This will require you to build strong relationships, accurate business assessments and to translate their business needs into long term data driven solutions. What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? The ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of business insight, data analytics, sales operations experience, VMware Solutions knowledge, big-picture thinking, influencing skills and ability to collaborate with many constituents within VMware. Responsible for helping develop and deliver organizational priorities across the Network & Security sales organization Collaborate on the KPIs and metrics to monitor and run the business and build reports using them Prototype reports and dashboards to get users engaged and excited about utilizing data and analytics to plan strategic programs Work cross teams to collaborate and influence strategic programs Work with regional solution engineering leaders to identify strengths & gaps in the business Proactively determine data points that aligns with VMware broader strategy and provide factual justification on decision making Manage multiple high priority projects at the same time and provide executive summaries to key stakeholders Identify and partner with technical resources to work autonomously in identifying new program needs for operational excellence Comfortable utilizing or learning analytics tools like tableau, Power BI, Smartsheets etc. Identify and help prioritize process improvement, automation opportunities Develop and drive program execution plan to resource and drive improvement initiatives Develop control plans to ensure sustained operational performance What is the leadership like for this role?
