Cook Helper

Job Summary Amentum is seeking a Cook Helper on Andros Island, Bahamas to work as part of a close knit team, as well as independently, to accomplish a range of functions as you support AUTEC. As a member of the team you will: Serve as a cafeteria and/or delicatessen/bakery worker helping in the preparation, presentation, and serving of specialty meats, delicacies, preserved foods, cheeses, salads, breads, and sweets to patrons. Assist in weighing pricing and wrapping selected foods. Prepare food displays in counter cases and other display units. Greet customers as they arrive at service counter, take special orders, and answer basic customer questions about specialty foods. Make hot and/or cold sandwiches, fruit and vegetable trays, salads, and rotisserie chicken. May slice and/or mix simple ingredients as needed. Clean counters and trays. Wash dishes. Maintain cleanliness of preparation work and display areas. Inspect and clean equipment. Adhere to food preparation and safety standards. May assist in any or all of the following: measuring and mixing ingredients as directed; assist in preparing cooking and decorating breads, rolls, pastries, cakes, and other bakery items; unload trucks and store stock; take payment and make change for customers. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Must be a citizen of the Bahamas. Two years job related experience in food services industry. Must have ability to read, interpret and apply instructions, publications, and safety rules.
