Corrosion Specialist

<p><b>Overview / Responsibilities </b><br />

Massy Wood is recruiting for a Corrosion Specialist with extensive experience in the oil, gas and energy industry to support our Asset Performance Optimization (APO) team in Trinidad.<br />
<br />
<b>Key Responsibilities </b> :</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>
<li>Prepare estimates for Corrosion activities for approval and inclusion into the offshore execution plan.</li>
<li>Create purchase requisitions, and material master forms and identify Bill of Material (BOM) requirements.</li>
<li>Prepare Scopes for Client review and approval</li>
<li>Review of Construction work packs</li>
<li>Interpreting engineering designs and documentation</li>
</ul>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>
<li>Ensuring that all hazards associated with the work are addressed in the work packs via the relevant Risk Assessment system, input from Safety Engineering, and the inclusion of other information to ensure work is implemented to minimize SHE risks</li>
<li>Providing ongoing support to the offshore and onshore construction team including interfacing with the engineering disciplines and coordinating the closure of Engineering Queries (EQ&
39;s)</li>
<li>Assist with determining the sequence of work orders, assign trade sets to work order operations, and identify SIMOPS / clashes and opportunities for efficiencies in work utilization.</li>
<li>Support ongoing continuous improvement efforts (estimating, planning, scheduling, execution, work instructions, and job safety analysis).</li>
<li>Ensure all work is performed in accordance with governing quality and safety management systems</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Coordinating with the Materials Controller and Offshore Construction Lead to ensure that all materials are job ready</li>
<li>Liaising with offshore construction team regarding planning and preparation of activities</li>
<li>Offshore travel, as required</li>
</ul>

<b>Job Specific Responsibilities </b> :<br />
<br />
Coordination of Corrosion Campaign Team for offshore and onshore facilities including :</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>
<li>C oupon retrievals, ER probe replacement/new installs, Cathodic Protection, Sand Detector, Permasense wireless UT works</li>
<li>Coordination of Retrieval and Maintenance equipment for coupons, probes, etc.</li>
<li>Schedule corrosion activities in Primavera ( P6 ) including POB</li>
</ul>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>
<li>Communicate Planning and Readiness Requirements</li>
<li>Maintenance Orders Lines etc</li>
<li>Complete the activities in P6 once field verified completed</li>
<li>Conducting Drop Cell Surveys - Offshore</li>
<li>Ensure all PM activities are in SAP</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Adjust Basic Start and Finish dates accordingly to align with last completed PMs</li>
<li>Technically Complete and Notification Complete works in SAP once completed in the field</li>
<li>Highlight defects in SAP for routine PMs that require intervention for correction like basic start, basic finish dates, frequencies, descriptions etc</li>
</ul>

Corrosion management planning and execution including the following:</p>

<li>Develop and execute plan for repair of all corrosion monitoring assets</li>
<li>Ensure Corrosion management program PO&
39;s are in place for pressure testing and certifications</li>
<li>I dentification and installation of all coupon and ER probe locations for flowline projects</li>
<li>Attend IM-Corrosion meetings</li>
<li>Development of corrosion monitoring philosophies and strategies</li>
</ul>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>
<li>Materials and corrosion studies (including coating selection) and specifications</li>
<li>Developing piping inspection strategies and identification of corrosion monitoring locations</li>
<li>Development of corrosion management strategies and corrosion manuals</li>
<li>Align with the integrity and projects team s for corrosion-rate calculations, corrosion modeling, RBI, and fitness for service studies</li>
<li>Integrity assessment of cathodic protection systems</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Liaising with clients to develop discrete work scopes and build a professional working relationship</li>
</ul>

<b>Skills / Qualifications </b></p>

<ul>
<li>Bachelor of Engineering degree; from a recognized university or college (Materials / Metallurgy / Chemistry/ Chemical / Mechanical) or equivalent</li>
</ul>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>
<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in a role that has had a primary technical function of providing corrosion engineering services in the oil and gas petrochemical industries</li>
<li>Good soft skills; primarily presentation skills, communication, and collaboration with the global offices.</li>
<li>The candidate may be required to work from the client&
39;s office sometimes per project demand</li>
<li>Familiar with the use of API 580 , 5 81 , 571 and other relevant codes</li>
<li>Working knowledge in various IDMS software is a plus</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>NACE certification is preferable</li>
<li>Preference will be given to national citizens or permanent residents of Trinidad &amp; Tobago.</li>
