In this exciting role as Medical Information Manager (MIM), you are the Benelux responsible for the overall management of medical inquiries and I&P review in Hematology area. Position overview The MIM is a member of the Medical Information team and is reporting into the Medical Information Lead Benelux & Responsible Person for Information & Publicity (RIP) Belgium/Netherlands. For a MIM, scientific savvy and interaction with both internal as external customers is important. The MIM wants to be a part of a team and gets motivated by taking ownership over their responsibilities. Tasks & Responsibilities: The MIM ensures an accurate process flow and state of the art responses for medical information requests coming from both internal and external customers. The MIM performs review tasks as Information & Publicity delegate to ensure that all materials that will be shared with external customers comply with local laws & regulations The MIM provides ad-hoc support to medical affairs colleagues upon request. Examples of such support are: literature search, medical review and provision of basic product and/or TA training. The MIM acts has a Medical Information Liaison towards several entities within the organization such as the EMEA Escalation Hub – EMEA Scientific Knowledge Manager – Customers Service Centre – Customer Facing Teams – Local Process Owners – Medical Affairs Managers – Information & Publicity Responsible. Qualifications Must haves: to be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume. Qualifications & Experience Masters degree or PhD in any Scientific subject, preferably Hematology and/or equivalent by experience. Experience with searching tools for Medical Information responses (for example PubMed, Ovid, Google, EndNote, iMedical). Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills for interaction with external and internal customers and partners. Languages: Must be able to communicate in Dutch and English: excellent knowledge (both spoken & written); French is preferable. Be both a teammate as well as being able to work independently: showing leadership, influencing and negotiation skills. Being persistent, assertive, and willing to make tough decisions. Awareness of business strategy and able to apply problem-solving strategies. Cross-functional collaboration. Critical thinking - to promote growth, to improve processes and/or to gain competitive advantage. Awareness of: local Laws and regulations of I&P (NL: CGR [‘Code Geneesmiddelen Reclame’] and BE: deontological code pharma.be). Essential computer skills: e.g. knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint), iConnect, iMedical Knowledge, iMedical Review, iMedical Knowledge Search. Location: Must be able to work 3 days a week at either of the sites: Netherlands-Breda or Belgium-Beerse.
