<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a full-time <b>Designer </b>to support our Consulting business in Calgary, AB. This is an entry level role and the ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, strong communication skills, and be detail oriented. <br><br>This is an exciting time to be joining Wood as the Products business is looking to double their revenue by 2025. The successful candidate will work with a dynamic and growing team who uses their technical expertise to solve some of the world's toughest vibration issues. <br><br><b> Key Responsibilities: </b> <br><br>As a Designer with our Anti-Vibration Products team you will be challenged with the following responsibilities: <br><br><ul><li> Maintaining our significant database of 3D models and product drawings </li><li> Following engineering processes for product design changes </li><li> Produce high-quality engineering drawings in an accurate and efficient manner </li><li> Check engineering design documents including drawings, sketches, and change notices </li><li> New product and component design </li><li> Optimizing 3D model automations and tree structures </li><li> Assisting with product testing and instrumentation which includes: <ul><li> Preparing test rigs with products, some manual lifting required </li><li> Configuring equipment and sensors for applicable test </li><li> Performing tests and recording results </li><li> Communicating testing and results into technical report </li></ul></li><li> Preparing orders for shipment </li><li> Assist in the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) process </li><li> Document and assist to rectify any non-conformances on manufactured products </li><li> Ability to work under supervision of engineers </li><li> Manage multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to identify, prioritize, and manage workload to meet deadlines </li><li> Classify, organize, and file drawings electronically </li><li> Maintain a strong work ethic </li><li> Ability to work collaboratively with other team members </li><li> Ability to adapt to client constraints and preferences </li><li> 60% office-based requirement after training </li><li> Observe professional ethics </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology </li><li> Proficient in Solidworks </li><li> Experience in AutoCAD or Spaceclaim </li><li> Must be able to lift 50 lbs </li><li> Excellent communication (both written and spoken) and relationship-building skills.
