Mechanical Engineer in Training (EIT)

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood in Calgary is looking to add a <b>Mechanical Engineer-in-Training (EIT)</b> to our Conventional Energy business team. <br><br>EIT's will work in teams on multiple projects to progress their careers as Mechanical static and rotating equipment engineers. <br><br><b> Responsibilities Include: </b><br><ul><li> Development of mechanical equipment specifications, datasheets, equipment lists, etc. </li><li> Support the assembling of technical requisitions </li><li> Input to the Technical Bid evaluation from the vendor proposals </li><li> Provide support for marking up and checking of vendor drawings </li><li> Work on diverse engineering software like PV Elite, Nozzle Pro etc. as required </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Aptitude for detailed engineering </li><li> Comfortable working with engineering first principles </li><li> Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering with eligibility to be registered with APEGA as an EIT </li><li> Previous experience in an industrial environment in Canada or the United States (summer positions) is desirable </li><li> Must be legally able to work in Canada at time of application </li></ul><br> ***Please include a copy of your transcripts when applying to the position <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
