Electrical & Instrument Technicians - Ampol Shutdown 2022

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood has a collaborative maintenance contract with Ampol to deliver leading maintenance services to their Lytton site. <br><br>We currently have short-term casual openings for approximately 4 weeks for motivated and experienced E&I Technicians with maintenance and Turnaround/Shutdown experience to work as part of our team, supporting the upcoming 2022 Shutdown. <br><br>At this time, we will only consider applications from Australian citizens or those with the required permit/VISA for this region, in place. <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br>The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following<b> current</b> qualifications and tickets, including dual trade of Electrical and Instrumentation: <br><br><ul><li> Valid QLD Electrical Licence </li><li> Certificate III: Instrumentation and Control </li><li> Certificate III in Electrotechnology Systems </li><li> Hazardous Areas (either EEHA or full Cert IV). Must be current within the past 3 years or you are able to refresh immediately </li><li> Working Safely at Heights and Confined Space. <b>Must be current within 2.5 years or able to refresh</b> </li><li> Current CPR & Low Voltage Rescue </li><li> Construction Card. </li></ul><br> <b>You will be skilled in the following areas:</b> <br><ul><li> Thorough experience working within a maintenance environment, preferably within the oil & gas industry, however, other maintenance E&I experience in heavy industry will be considered </li><li> Thorough experience working within a <b>shutdown/turnaround</b> environment, within the oil & gas industry </li><li> Experience with hard pipe and tube connected field instrumentation, along with overhaul and commissioning of control valves </li><li> Effective fault finding and problem solving skills </li><li> Great communication skills. </li></ul><br> Anticipated start date will be <b>late June / early July</b> and a Wood medical is required before commencement. <br><br>In return, <b>benefits</b> include both a strong EBA and rate of pay. <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
