Responsibilities Perform technical pre-sales activities in support of the SolarWinds products including: Conduct online and in-person product demonstrations Identify customer’s business problems/challenges and translate the business problems/challenges into technical solutions Pre-sales technical support duties such as troubleshooting customer issues and product configuration Respond to RFP/RFI/RFQ documents Answer complex technical inquiries and address customer concerns to drive successful outcomes Establish and develop positive relationships throughout the sales cycle Maintain and continue to have advanced technical understanding of the products and surrounding technologies Provide training to other team members and different departments internally where necessary Working with Product Marketing and Management teams on product performance Provide field intelligence such as feature requests from customers and product issues to Product Management and Development teams Presenting at partner events, webinars, and conferences Ability to travel as needed Qualifications Your Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Business or Computing discipline or 6+ years’ experience in related field (technology consulting, presales, network engineer, network administrator and systems, storage, virtualization/database admin, DevOps engineer or similar IT related job function) Understand each customer’s business, operations and industry including the strategic business and technology goals. Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to work with little or no supervision and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced work environment. A strong mix of technical ability, sales and customer interaction skills are required. Hands on skills with operating systems such like Windows, Linux, Windows Strong knowledge and substantial experience with one or more of the following: Solid TCP/IP and networking experience in deploying or managing networks Server (Windows/Linux/Unix) administration experience Virtualization, storage, database OpenTelemetry, OpenTracing, OpenCensus Experience with: Microservices and serverless architectures for example Kubernetes, Docker, Serverless functions Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure Observability solutions including application performance monitoring, distributed tracing, metric time series, etc.
