System & Architecture Expert (SAE) – Industrial Automation

Job Function: The System & Architecture Expert: Builds optimized architectures fitting the needs of the customer (including channel partners such as System Integrators). Possesses broad technical knowledge in: Automation technology (Competitors) Networks (Principles, connectivity, limitations, performance) Hardware & Software systems (EcoStruxure Plant solutions architecture – Industrial Automation – PLC, HMI, Software) Industry Business installed base offer: migration and modernization Provides expert technical pre-sales support to the sales force on hybrid systems automation architectures to help accelerate sales growth and increase opportunities conversation rate. Obtain detailed requirements and constraints from the customer, assist the customer in defining the best implementation (validate, optimize, and differentiate) of the selected system architectures. Select the most appropriate TVDA architectures to meet the customers’ requirements. Adjust and optimize the architecture(s) most appropriately to meet the customers’ needs. Explain the technical advantages and disadvantages of the proposed architecture(s). Acts with a commercial attitude Technical backbone of the salesman, understand the customer and their business To propose an optimum architecture according to the customers’ needs providing a clear explanation to the sales force and customer the strengths and weaknesses of the solutions communicating the differentiating elements in a simple and convincing way. Main Responsibilities: The System & Architecture Expert (SAE) is responsible for pre-sales support for the Sales Organization supporting the entire sales process from opportunity to order. Other job essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Pre-sales support Visit customers together with the sales force Assist in closing the deal by providing differentiating elements to sales for the commercial argumentation Assist and support System Integrators for their technical sales requests and project opportunities and help win business. Expert support, technical knowledge, and customer service Build demos to help the customer visualize the main solution concepts (POC - proof of concept) Create value by advising the customer on advanced issues (Principles, feasibility, limits & constraints, performance, etc.) Promote the complete EcoStruxure Plant solutions in terms of strengths and weaknesses and possibilities Develop required technical and commercial argumentation documents Maintain strong internal relationships Contributing to a global network of SAEs and Product Application Experts (PAEs) Sharing Success Stories and/or Best practices Supporting cross country opportunities Job Requirements: Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in designing systems and Industrial Automation solutions Experience as a technical application design or validation background Expertise in local region standards and network communication Education: Degree in Business or Engineering or technical diploma You are a true team player who: Understands and values work/life balance Has a positive and constructive sense of humour Emphasizes success within your team and accepts responsibility when you make mistakes Acknowledges what is real and shows appreciation for others Demonstrates self-motivation and always looking for the next step Desires change and challenges from the daily routine Shows good judgement, passion, and enthusiasm Understands your own strengths and weaknesses through self and interpersonal awareness We seek out and reward people for being straightforward, open, passionate, effective, and challenging the status quo.
