Junior Geotechnical Engineer - Mining

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood's Resilient Environments business is seeking a qualified <b>Junior Geotechnical Engineer</b> to support our design team in <b>Oakville, Ontario</b>; The Resilient Environment business is a global leader in providing engineering and environmental services for the mining sector. <br><br><b> Key Responsibilities </b> <br><ul><li> Project consulting and engineering for mining and infrastructure projects </li><li> An ability and willingness to interface with other related disciplines - hydrology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, permitting, etc. </li><li> Preparation of engineering designs, plans, assessments and studies </li><li> Opportunity to collaborate on projects throughout Canada and Internationally </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering required; Masters degree considered an asset <br></li><li> Current registration or eligibility for registration as a P.Eng. <br></li><li> Zero to four years industry experience or equivalent <br></li><li> Desire to provide excellent practical client service and a commitment to technical excellence <br></li><li> Strong written and oral communication (English) skills <br></li><li> Valid Driver's License <br></li><li> Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
