Senior Cost Engineer

Our Client an International Oil and Gas Operator are looking for a Senior Cost Engineer (Must be eligible to work in the EU and ideally local to Madrid) to join them on a Contract basis in their project EPC office in Madrid. The role will be offered with a negotiable all-inclusive hourly rate. <br><br><b>Job Overview;</b> <br> <br> As Senior Cost Engineer you'll be responsible for Preparation of budgets, Cost tracking, Analysing trends and Forecasting costs <br><br><b>Job Purpose:</b> <br> <ul> <li> Assist with developing the budget, looking at estimated costs against scope of work. Once budget approved, Senior Cost Engineer will manage the costs and ensure team are staying within NTE's </li> <li> Aligning costs with business cost codes </li> <li> End of month reviews - will review to show monthly costs and manage control process </li> <li> Managing cost of changes and the impact it will have on the business and budgets before decisions are made </li> <li> Quantifying risks to produce costs </li> <li> Monthly department cost tracking, reporting and analysis. </li> <li> Prepare monthly departmental cost reallocations. </li> <li> Conduct rate analysis to determine appropriate reimbursement levels and sets rates accordingly </li> </ul> <br><br><b>Job requirements:</b> <br> <ul> <li> Extensive experience gained as a Cost Engineer working on Oil and Gas projects during FEED and EPC phases </li> <li> Ideally have extensive experience gained working on Refinery or Petrochemical projects </li> <li> Ideally have experience of working for Operators/Owners being based in EPC Contractor offices </li> </ul> <br><br><b>About Petroplan</b><br> <br>Petroplan is the trusted, specialist global Talent Solutions partner of choice for employers and professionals in the Energy sector.
