Senior finance Manager Plant Ops

The Senior Finance Manager, Plant Ops is the lead finance role for the Manufacture Technology and Finance site in Johnson & Johnson’s supply chain. The site has higher levels of complexity and spend than most others in the network. The primary responsibility for this position is, as a member of the Plant Leadership Team, to provide financial guidance and counsel to that team as it delivers on its financial commitments. These commitments are both Long Term (competitiveness) and short term (Target achievement) in nature. This individual will support the Leadership team in selecting & prioritizing key initiatives to achieve these goals. They will also monitor and help to mitigate associated risks. This individual will be responsible for providing financial analysis, inclusive of calculating, analyzing and presenting the manufacturing P&L and understanding and applying cost accounting concepts for the plant. The individual will manage high levels of capital spend, human capital, and capital investment in a highly complex environment. The position is responsible for forecasting and evaluating financial performance of the manufacturing site including assessing risks and opportunities and making recommendations to improve performance in a compliant manner. As part of the key role to provide financial guidance and counselling the individual will be responsible for developing business cases for investment and constructively challenging business partners to improve financial outcomes in the short and long term. The senior manager has ultimate accountability for financial statement integrity –P&L and Balance Sheet. Accountability for financial integrity means attestation that financial statements are accurate, with a high degree of assurance. The senior manager attests that financial statements are complete and accurate through standard review and approval processes. The senior Manager is responsible to understand the impact of business models and decisions on the financial statements, including the proper accounting treatment for complex transactions The position will be responsible for managing a team of finance professionals. They will be responsible for recruiting, training, motivating, developing and coaching the individuals on the team in an open, compliant and inclusive environment. Maintain relationship and partner with plant leadership to optimize plant efficiency and work on improvements to strengthen the overall business performance of the plant. Responsible for the preparation, analysis and reporting of monthly/quarterly closing, reporting, financial and operations data, comparing actual and forecasted results for review with site and Platform management and JSC Finance Consolidations Develop regular Financial forecasts including the Annual Business Plan for the site Develop business cases to support investment decisions at the site, support & challenge overall site master plan Drive cost competitiveness including managing CIP’s , preparing benchmarks and setting the financial agenda for the site Provide strategic support for the S&OP process, collaborating with the supply chain planning group to understand financial impact of volume change Consolidate financial data for actuals and forecast cycles; provide analysis on variances to forecast as well as forecast to forecast analytics Provide assumptions to feed cost accounting, overhead allocations, SLOB/inventory, etc. for ongoing, rhythmic activities Provide insight into NPI product costing/launch or other business analyses as needed Interface with Commercial team to ensure comprehensive finance support is provided; interface with GSF and other business services providers, manager service level agreements Interface with Sector and Enterprise CoEs to ensure comprehensive finance support is provided at plant level; interface with GFS and other business services providers, manager service level agreements Lead high impact complex Finance initiatives across the Platform where appropriate Lead a team of finance professional giving coaching , supporting development, hiring and evaluating Member of Site Leadership Team Participate in Campus-model initiatives where applicable Member of Platform finance leadership team Qualifications Required Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Required Years of Related Experience: 8 - 10 or more years of experience in finance related field Business experience in some of the following areas Finance, Budgeting, Manufacturing, Project Management, Mergers & Acquisitions • Ability to work in cross-functional teams in the following areas: financial analysis & reporting, asset/liability management, portfolio management, budget and control, ability to combine business needs with functional objectives • Management Practices, Ability to influence others in a matrix organization, Enterprise mindset • Proven track record of effective business partnership & results delivery • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills • Big picture orientation with attention to detail • Sound knowledge of a broad range of finance aspects • Act as team player and participate in various non-financial discussions, projects and actions. • Languages: Fluent in English and competent in Swiss German Primary Location Switzerland-Schaffhausen-Schaffhausen- Organization Cilag AG (8562) Job Function Operations Requisition ID 2206039120W
