We also use applied technology expertise to serve the defense, entertainment, material handling, aerospace, science, and renewable energy industries. <br><br><b> Position Summary </b><br><br><b> Energy Intelligence - Integrity Management & Digital Solutions </b> <br><br> We are seeking team members for our predictive analytics product development team in Trondheim. The team invents, adapts, tests and validates data-driven predictive analytics for risk and integrity management. Creating successful analytics is complex; the answers must be reproducible, trustworthy and useful, poor or noisy data, as well as expert knowledge should be leveraged. <br><br> To accomplish this, we mostly use physically based mathematical models grounded in statistics, with some AI thrown in. We write our models mostly in Python. Our dream candidates are creative, innovative, curious, independent and like solving problems. We do not believe we can hire any one person who can do everything, but together we can solve some very complex tasks. <br><br> The successful candidate will become part of our Energy Intelligence (EI) service line. The EI service line offers to the market a range of digital products, focusing on digital integrity management, connectivity and remote operations. Energy Intelligence operates under the business segment Integrity Management and Digital Solution (IMDS). Oceaneering IMDS is one of the largest providers of Integrity and Inspection Services in the world. The division provides a comprehensive range of services worldwide. <br><br> The use of data and modeling has changed vastly over the past few years, and we believe that data driven, predictive analytics and risk modeling will transform the way we do business. Our software products are centered on predicting and managing risk for the energy business. The core of this business segment is ensuring the integrity of installations, factories and process facilities through optimized maintenance and inspection programs. <br><br> You have a credible technical/analytics background and pedigree, preferably from Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Cybernetics, Physics, Economics or similar. You will work with diverse data, complex models and embed analytics into simple visual interfaces pinpointing the necessary actions to release the substantial potential that lies in new innovative ways to manage risk. <br><br> We are looking for candidates to our office in Trondheim. <br><br> <b> Experience is an advantage, but if you are straight out of university with an appetite for challenges and desire to use your theory to solve real world problems you will certainly be considered. </b> <br><br><b> Duties & Responsibilities </b><br><br>Primary responsibilities will be to develop, support and facilitate our services in the area of data analytics and risk modeling. Your role will actively contribute developing existing and new analytics products within our core business, Integrity Management. Teamwork is essential and the position will involve international exposure. <br><br><b> Qualifications </b><br><br><b> Qualities that make great candidates. We don't expect to find all of these in anyone, but all of them should be something you want to attain: </b><ul> <li> BS/MS/PhD in a technical field -Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or similar </li> <li> Solid programming background, preferably Python. We use Python and some Fortran. </li> <li> Experience in object-oriented programming and use of version control system (git) </li> <li> Linear algebra and statistics knowledge </li> <li> Have some thoughts on how to share what you have developed to no-coders </li> <li> Knowledge of mathematical modelling </li> <li> Deeper understanding of any of the following fields: Bayesian statistics, Computational statistics, Mathematical modelling, Machine Learning </li> <li> An ability to work independently and communicate complex technical ideas </li> </ul><br><b> What we do and how we work.
