This role is an Enterprise role covering all sectors THE OPPORTUNITY The Senior Privacy Manager of Australia and New Zealand is responsible for implementing and monitoring the privacy compliance program cross-sector for all J&J activities in Australia and New Zealand, identifying privacy risks and developing policies and procedures, training, and controls to ensure all Johnson and Johnson sectors are operating in compliance with applicable privacy laws as well as J&J policies and privacy framework. In this role, the Senior Privacy Manager will have the opportunity to actively support, shape and help implement all projects-related activities of J&J in ANZ that involve privacy considerations and risks, including providing advice on any questions related to Privacy to Business stakeholders and key functional partners. RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the APAC Senior Privacy Director, amongst others your core responsibilities will include: Deployment of the local Privacy Compliance Program adapted to ANZ privacy regulations and J&J sectors’ needs. You will ensure company compliance with applicable privacy and cybersecurity laws, as well as all applicable J&J privacy and data protection policies and procedures; Advise executive and senior management team of their responsibilities and obligations and help them develop a culture of compliance and awareness of privacy issues; Provide day-to-day base business privacy support for projects across J&J sectors; Review projects involving collection of personal information by J&J with the project owner, for example mobile apps, digital assets, new educations platforms, etc.; Develop a local training and communication plan for the leadership team and stakeholders; Liaise with business representatives who collect personal information, the Global Privacy Team and key functional departments like Legal, IT, HCC, Government Affairs, etc. Qualifications IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU For this role, we are looking for: A track record of experience working with Privacy Program Management, internal audit, legal, compliance, combined with ideally a background in the healthcare industry; An IAPP Privacy certification or local equivalent. Knowledge of the ANZ data protection and privacy regulations are required; A track record of success in an environment that demands a sound understanding of the need to balance complex legal/regulatory/public policy issues; Strong communication skills with ability to interact effectively and ability to demonstrate excellent business judgement, make decisions and have a pragmatic approach to problem-solving; Experience with developing and implementing Privacy programs, policies and procedures.
